Best Braai is a service orientated business, situated in Pretoria, South Africa. We manufacture and package Charcoal, Briquettes and Firelighters. We also stock a variety of Firewood.
The Charcoal we use is made from hardwood and is imported from Namibia, most of this hardwood comes from different types of alien vegetation. These trees are alien to the county and need to be removed. Best Braai Briquettes are made from the same product, pieces of charcoal too small to be packaged are grinded into powder, compressed and baked.
Intended use of our products : Outdoor Barbecue purpose Charcoal and Briquettes are mainly used for outdoor barbeque purposes.

CHARCOAL
Charcoal is natural wood burnt down to a pure carbon. This makes it an exceptionally efficient fuel. It burns hot and clean with no energy wasted.
The charcoal arrives from Namibia at our plant in Pretoria in bulk bags. At this stage the only process it goes through is sorting according to size. No additives or preservatives are added and its natural purity is preserved.
It is sifted over a mesh and then packed into consumer bags by weight.
As charcoal is derived from an organic source, it varies in volume. The volume differs depending on the tree species used and the area from which it is sourced.
Prized for its purity Namibian Hardwood Charcoal is well loved by grill chefs everywhere.

BRIQUETTES
Briquettes are made from the same pure charcoal. Small pieces of charcoal are crushed into a fine powder, combined with food grade starch & water and then moulded into briquettes.
The briquettes are sun dried in green houses for 5 to 10 days (depending on the weather).
Once the moisture has evaporated, the briquettes are packed into consumer bags by weight.
The uniform shape of briquettes ensures a long and consistent burn. It is a product valued
for its steady performance.
